This is in Fauquier County, Mosby Country, where I grew up.
So when Marmet, a senior energy policy analyst with the Piedmont Environmental Council, and his partner Mike Kane, a conservation officer with the group, turned up June 12 to inspect Boneta’s Liberty Farm in Paris, Va., they more or less inspected what they wanted to inspect.
They walked through the upstairs and downstairs portion of the barn that sits on the property. They inspected every room within—bathrooms, closets, storage rooms and offices. They looked over the farmer’s personal effects and even toured the basement area of the barn that housed some of the animals. They inspected “The Smithy,” an historical structure on the property that was once a blacksmith shop. They stood on chairs to peer into the loft area.

Yes, Sir, that's all it is, I tell you all it is........:)
DeleteParis, VA is arguably the most beautiful spot on the face of the earth and sadly this story bears out what I have suspected for many years now. Paris and most of Fauquier Co. has been overrun by rich liberals from DC. In 30 years of passing
ReplyDeletetrough Hwy 17 and 50 on my way to visit family in MD I have watched the change take place. Working farms are now fancy, show place, hobby farms or Vineyards,
The cows are few and far between, the row crops have been replaced by manicured
acres of pasture turned lawn. The speed limit on Hwy 17 has been lowered to 45 mph for the entire distance from I-66 to Paris and the intersection with hwy 50 and through bound commercial vehicles have been banned. This I believe is the result of
the newcomers desire to discourage outsiders or maybe newer outsiders from passing through. Now it appears, based on this article and my observation, that they are trying to run out the last of the working land owners in favor of their rich friends in search of a country estate that they will pay for with dollars earned at the trough filled by US taxpayers. What a shame.
I detest liberals to the core. What a beautiful place it was when I grew up there. Markham, *Delaplane, *Atoka and Marshall areas. Middleburg is now beyond hope.
Delete* My father had a farm outside of Delaplane and one outside of Atoka though Delaplane was the prettiest. I spent my summers working them. Where do you live?
It's not just this woman....it's a lot of people. With this kind of harassment they should not be be surprised if more folks start going Drega on them.
