On September 8, Panera Bread bakery-cafes joined Chipotle, Jack in the Box, Chili's, Sonic, and Target in asking law-abiding customers to shop unarmed in its stores.
The news originally broke on Twitter, where Everytown for Gun Safety tweeted Panera's request: "Please don't bring guns into our cafes."According to the Huffington Post, Panera released the following statement:

Ahh that's too bad, sandwiches taste like shit anyway and don't get me started on their soups... ex wife use to drag me to this liberal circle jerk because she liked the sammichs. I used to go armed with an open jacket back then... Thats all right, another place that won't get my hard earned money. Better to vote with your wallet anyway
ReplyDeleteI've never gone there as the name alone was enough to scare you off, now if it had been called Joe's' Poolhall or something.......:)
ReplyDeleteI took Spanish at NC State 62 years ago. The restaurant is two miles from my house and in 19 years we have not eaten there. Who eats at a restaurant named "bread box bread?"
ReplyDelete:) Good one!
DeleteIm sure the criminals will abide by this request. (Eyeroll)
ReplyDeleteI cant say theyll be missing my business. Never went there anyway.
We'll we're batting 3 for 1. :)
DeleteFuck their French bread loafs are really good, guess Piggly Wiggly is where I will be buying the loafs from now. dumb asses.
ReplyDeleteBake again with garlic cloves inserted, they should be fine. If you have a Lowe's, they have good ones also, but as always, never enough garlic. :)
DeleteI didn't even know this place existed. I asked my mom and apparently its next to the Chick fila i always eat at and never noticed. huh
ReplyDeleteThanks.
DeleteWell shit, I did love their tomato basil bread. Still life goes on.
ReplyDeleteBadger
More garlic cures all ills. :)
DeleteTo bad Garlic wouldnt keep away the vampires in DC.
ReplyDeleteThat's rich!
DeleteI started carrying a boot knife and a pistol concealed. I carried my Glock 17 w/+2 plus one up the pipe. Had the knife on the other side. Nice balance! I went to the range and took a female friend with me - never shot the Glock. I brought my 629 Trail Boss, a six shot .38 and a Polish P-64. The female was only comfortable with the .38 - I had her shooting in single action for accuracy. She wasn't familiar with a double action trigger. I showed her 4 shots rapid fire at 21 feet - all were lethal. The 629 grouped 18 shots in an area half the size of a pie plate. Full magnum reloads. This may be off subject from this post but this is my new norm. These companies will either have to grow a pair or they won't get my business.
ReplyDeleteGood deal and yes there are more than enough places to choose from.
DeleteUsed to love their sweet tea - now that I know it's made by pansies I can't drink it anymore. I'm gonna let them know on their pansy website.
ReplyDeleteI'm gonna let them know on their pansy website.
DeleteGo for it!
DAMN! SONIC? Does that mean I can't have my pistol or rifle in my truck when I pull in to order a foot long cheese Coney with mustard and onions?
ReplyDeletethat sucks. Guess I'll have to get my hotdogs elsewhere. CH
A drive-in requesting this is the height of absurdity. I'm reading Southern Food by John Egerton which is wonderful and check it out anytime you're taking a trip. At any rate, there is a drive-in in Atlanta, The Varsity, that serves up to 17,000 customers a day, the largest in the world.
DeleteI go to the Varsity about every time I go to Atlanta which is at once not a lot and too much, but the Varsity is the bright spot of the trip. CH
ReplyDeleteThanks and I guess it must be many acres, correct?
