On Sunday, October 6th, a 19 yr. old Commander, Ceylan Ozalp, (also known as “Diren” meaning “Resist” in Turkish), took her own life to avoid being taken hostage by ISIS. Ozalp, a Commander from the Peoples’ Protection Units (YPG), engaged in combat with an ISIS stronghold near Eastern Kobane. After engaging in an intensive struggle, she then became surrounded by ISIS members. English Alarabiya news reported - running out of ammunition, she shot herself with her last bullet, after saying “goodbye” to her comrades over the radio.
News reports of the event are varied as coverage from Rudaw news agency states Ozalp had actually infiltrated an ISIS stronghold, engaged in grenade warfare with militants and eventually blew herself up in suicide, killing many. In any case, she made a gallant point and gave her life in protection of what she believed in; as ISIS has been encroaching on Kobane and breathing down its neck.

While Obama raises funds from Democrats, the Islamic State is preparing to raze an important Kurdish city. Somehow ISIS is still on the move, despite all that American bombing, and it’s on the verge of overrunning a Syrian Kurdish town called Kobani, located near the Turkish border. If Kobani falls, not only will the strategic loss to the Kurds be considerable, but unspeakable atrocities on a huge scale would be perpetrated by the victorious Islamic State. Fox News and the Associated Press report on the situation:

Am I mistaken or are the women in that photo carrying full Israeli issue? ---Ray
ReplyDeleteAs soon as you said that, I looked at their uniforms, then searched for the picture on other sites and I believe these are IDF women. I took the picture off the Examiner website which evidently posted it incorrectly. Thanks. I did post the video of the girl who just died before and will add that. Thanks again, oh observant one!" :)
DeleteIsnt it sad that the iraqi men are such chicken crap pussies. These Kurdish Turk women are fighting for their people and their future and will kill the enemy by any means necessary. If our Govt wants to support someone with weapons and advisors, these are the people to back. More guts in that girl than all of sadams republican gaurd. RIP Warrior.

DeleteYes, indeed.
That gal has more guts then the whole White House. She fought for her people and went out like a Warrior. She's drinking a beer in Heaven with John Wayne and General Patton.
ReplyDeleteRIP Badass Kurdish Lady
19 and gone. May she ever be remembered.
DeleteHoly cripes.
ReplyDeleteJust imagine an invasion on American soil, the justin-beiberlike, metrosexual, cocoa-sipping twenty-somethings falling to their knees in supplication and begging for mercy. Kneeling before that ditch, rather than going out fighting.
I hope I'm wrong... in rural Merika where I live, where hunters outnumber the non-hunters (even chicks hunt), there are people with backbone, but a serious mental disconnect exists, that Americans think 'it can never happen here'. I hope we can get past that hurdle.
Never mind the narcissism that plants that seed that someone else should sacrifice.
Even girls in this country, don't realize how easy they have it. War and Womyn and all.
War is right, but our government is at war with it's citizens.
It could happen here in a flash if we let them.
