An off-duty St. Louis police officer shot and killed an 18-year-old Wednesday, firing his gun 17 times, authorities said.
Angry residents damaged several police cars in response, even though police say the man fired first.
The death comes on the heels of the Michael Brown shooting two months ago in the St. Louis suburb of Ferguson, and just ahead of a "Weekend of Resistance" in St. Louis, where activists will push for movement in the investigation into that case.

ReplyDeleteReturn fire is the natural response.
ReplyDelete17 shots. Must have been a 9MM, but he was off duty, so makes sense as I didn't think any cops carried that caliber normally.
DeleteSurvival manual in Ferguson and St. Louis
ReplyDelete1. Don't hit cops.
2. Don't shoot at cops.
3. Put your hands down and get a job.
This should be intuitively obvious but apparently it is not.
Get a job when you can deal drugs and collect welfare to the tune of about $2.5K a month? Surely you jest.........
DeleteTurns out the investigation shows the guy wasn't very good. He had a tracking bracelet on for other crimes, he had a stolen gun, and was shot in the front 5-7 times. Not 16 times in the back while carrying a sandwich.
ReplyDeleteThanks, guess he had already eaten his Skittles......:)
