Goodbye to my seven year friend, sniff, sniff..........
After 18 years of growing her hair, it became brittle and started falling out, so the school's opinion was that she should cut it off and start over. The only other option was using a new hair rebonder which can only be mixed with dye or bleach and since Dixie's hair doesn't take dye, bleach had to be used. The results were amazing, but don't know if it will be prolonged.
Gloves, a gift from Holly.
The homeschool gang.
Kindness of Dixie.
Damn fine looking group of young people. Keep 'em safe in what's coming. They are our hope to rebuild the future. Dying means far less when they, and those like them, are there to carry on.
ReplyDeleteThanks and well said.
DeleteNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteFor several reasons....
:) She's going to a home where she can be better cared for: A/C, P/S, P/B, body repair/paint, new interior (though I don't know why) ad infinitum. True love is giving up your darling, so she may have a better life.........:)
DeleteOk...but Miss Dixie as a blonde is a grave injustice and will not stand.
DeleteI am Sad Yankee this day. :(

DeleteYou sold your red pickup truck???
ReplyDeleteDixie is a blonde now??? Well, that's something a lot of us gals have done in our way-back-when days, and she looks mighty pretty.. no matter what color her hair is.
:) Life must go on even though red and auburn have deserted me.......:)
