NYPD traffic tickets and summonses for minor offenses have dropped off by a staggering 94 percent following the execution of two cops — as officers feel betrayed by the mayor and fear for their safety, The Post has learned.
The dramatic drop comes as Police Commissioner Bill Bratton and Mayor Bill de Blasio plan to hold an emergency summit on Tuesday with the heads of the five police unions to try to close the widening rift between cops and the administration.

Oh dear! How will they compensate for the loss of revenue? I tried to do a quick
ReplyDeleteGoogle search, but did not find anything relating to NY. I did see where the city of Florissant a suburb of St. Louis rakes in app. 3 million per year from fines, drug court, etc. It is a scam everywhere. I cannot imagine a 66 percent loss of revenue generated by the po po annually in a city the size of NY. I am sure they do not wish too!
The cops should announce that they will no longer protect the Mayor. Let's see how that works out for him.

DeleteI'm not ok with any government employee not doing his job while continuing to get paid. At the same time those same employs have been resting on their laurels as first responders and sheepdogs because their job is dangerous. Then when a danger actually materializes they flee from it.
