On February 19, the Los Angeles Times reacted to the growing momentum for Campus Carry legislation across the country by referring to the NRA as “crackpots” and reminding the organization that it is the government’s “responsibility to protect the public through reasonable gun control laws.”
In other words, “shall not be infringed” does not mean shall not be regulated and/or controlled.

With the 2nd Amendment being part of the Bill of Rights, it is actually the responsibility of the Constitution to regulate what what the government cannot do with respect to arms. The 2nd Amendment performs that function well. The staff of the L. A. Times should be familiar with the powerful liberty of 1st Amendment. The 2nd Amendment is no different. "Shall not be infringed" means that, exactly.
ReplyDeleteYes, Sir.
DeleteThe governments responsibility is stay out of people's business and get in the
ReplyDeletebusiness of protecting the country by throwing out illegal immigrants and securing
the Southern border with landmines. If the 2nd amendment is a problem for anyone,
then by all means, leave the country.

Well, not very surprising coming from those who subscribe to .gov intellectual censorship. Assuming there's any intelligence there in the first place...
ReplyDeleteSecondly, on the boarder trend: I say post signs roughly a mile apart, facing south with both English and Spanish (to give fair warning) that past said sign is a free fire zone. Any/every foreign invader is considered a hostile enemy combatant and will be shot on site.

Claymores would be cheaper.
DeleteHow about for every left ear brought in, a box of ammo is given as compensation? Higher demand, higher stock, lower costs...I'd love to see a box of good 308s cheaper than $2 a round again....

I'm afraid the union would get involved.....:)
DeleteHaha, well, we'd just have to secure a new Mason/Dixon! When the Mexi'cants get the hint, we invade the North but leave Kalifornistan; it'll fracture and fall off at the fault line in due time.

A friend of ours Brock gave me a good idea, so I can not take credit for it.; Take and dig a canal on the southern border of the United States. Make it big enough that you could float our some of the biggest cargo ships through it. Not only would it provide many, many thousands of jobs, but it would also also the pacific and atlantic fleets to be able to back each other up in short order. A very nice side benefit of that would be an almost impenetrable southern border. Imagine a canal that is 300 yards wide, deep enough to float some of the biggest ships, and concrete walls on either side that extend up at least 30 ft. You would have several bridges that could be easily monitored and controlled. You would find the bodies of people trying to cross out in the Gulf of Mexico.

That is excellent.
DeleteIt's the government's responsibility to back the fuck off before they start sending enforcers to their deaths.
ReplyDeleteThey couldn't exist without trying to control us at every chance.
