A she?
According to the Los Angeles Times, 17-year-old “Hernandez and four other girls were cruising Denver’s middle-class Park Hill neighborhood in someone else’s Honda when they were spotted by police.” Police say “they ordered the girls out of the car, but that instead Hernandez tried to run them down.”
Officers shot Hernandez, who was then “dragged from the car…and handcuffed before she died.”
Some of those who were in the car say the vehicle did not careen toward police until Hernandez had been shot.

The steal a car as a right of passage defense sounds pretty legitimate.
ReplyDeleteThat blew me away. Just amazing.
DeleteThe suck-o-meter runs high on this one. Its to bad a young female had to die, but whether you use a vehicle, or a gun or knife to harm a cop you are still a major threat that will be shot at. Its too bad young people dont have the wisdom that is gained later in life. And its too bad that so many young people today dont even have common sense.

DeleteYes and all in the way they are being raised by their parents. They send them to public school, what else is there to expect?
It would appear we dont expect enough from our young people these days. Perhaps if we did our nation would be in better condition.
DeleteCommie indoctrination at all levels while the parents go blithely along.
DeleteDon't steal other people's shit.
ReplyDeleteProbably never crossed its mind. :)
ReplyDeleteYouth organizer Mimi Madrid Puga might consider dedicating the rest of her life to correcting the thinking of young Latinos who believe that felony theft and assault on a police officer is just a youthful prank. This is a perfect opportunity to save young lives. Go for it, Mimi.
ReplyDeleteShe's too busy complaining about white privilege.........
DeleteI find this sort of story disturbing. It seems a common theme of police shooting at the drivers of cars because the car was a deadly weapon. When the dust settles, who is to say differently?
ReplyDeleteThe common thread normally is somethng like:
1. Police pulls over the perps.
2. perps are still in their car and look like they are going to run for it.
3. Cops steps in front of the car to block it.
4. Car is already in motion.
5. Cop fears for his life, in a situation he created and could have avoided and shoots the driver with reckless disregard for the other people in the car.
Perps will lie after the fact to avoid the consequences of their actions. So will cops. Without an unbiased witness present or cameras, we third party people will never know what really happened.
It's looking like the cop you did the shooting has 2 other shooting at people in cars incidents already.
ReplyDeleteAnd while I'm a firm believer in play stupid games, win stupid prizes, the Denver cops are just plain thugs.
