Our nuclear submarine fleet carries enough nuclear warheads to put the lights out everywhere on the planet, and in the event of an EMP attack on the US I suspect that that is exactly what would happen. The Iranians are not suicidal enough to take the chance. I think that we are much more likely to loose our power grid as a result of a stuxnet type attack than a nuclear one.

Im not so sure either. Not to argue, but the U.S. has done a lot of insane and suicidal things that I wouldn't have believed a few short years ago. Wouldnt surprise me if tptb are hoping it happens.
