Had Freddie Gray been robbed, beaten and left to die in the streets of his Baltimore neighborhood, no one would be mourning him today.

No one would be marching for Freddie. No one would be using Freddie as the new poster child of “Black Lives Matter!”
No one would care, three weeks later, but his family and friends.

It was the manner of his death, suffering a fractured spine in police custody, that makes Freddie matter. For he can now be credibly cast in the victim’s role in the great new narrative against America — that ours is a society of unequal justice where racist cops routinely brutalize black men and boys and are rarely called to account.

In this narrative, the liberal is always the hero.

  1. In this instance she would be correct. Freddie Gray may have been a criminal, that is irrelevant. He was killed by the physical actions of 6 Baltimore LEO. His guilt or innocence is not relevant as it is not the job of officers to make that determination and then hand down street justice. It could just as easily have been someone with a perfectly clean record. When they chased him down and arrested him they had no way of knowing who he was or what his last held. We may never know for sure exactly what act by which officer fractured his neck. But it is a certainty that it did not happen without the application of external physical force to his body. That act led to his death, as he was in custody and posed no threat to any one the violence indulged in by LEO is a crime. THAT is the only relevant issue.....criminal conduct by LEO and if that issue is condoned or covered up the. NO CITIZEN is safe. We are ALL at risk of violent death at the hands of state sanctioned thugs. People fail to see that the criminal history of Freddie Gray is irrelevant. What he may have done prior to being handcuffed is irrelevant. Once in custody by is mural to and well being is the DIRECT RESPONSIBILITY of the officers. And they ignored that responsibility instead choosing to abuse him in some fashion. Next time it could be your child or my child...totally innocent....who is killed by LEO for the crime of crossing their path and catching their attention.

  2. I wonder why no one has thought that Gray may have injured himself while trying to escape from the van, he was said to be unrestrained in the back. Maybe he was trying to smash out the door ?

  3. I wonder who Hillary will pick as a running-mate, Michael Moore, The Ayatollah Khomeini, or Jeb? They would all like to disarm the police.

  4. There should be tissue samples, hair or even blood on the bolt.
If this is the case, why are the police being charged for homicide.
    Something stinks, again.

    1. My guess is they will say the driver purposely slammed on the brakes with him not tied down, but that's not what another said who was in a different part of the van. There may be something in the video that they have where the van made an unscheduled stop.

    3. Thanks and I am curious what the difference is of the two below. Do you know?

Possession of narcotics with intent to distribute

Possession of a controlled dangerous substance

    4. From what I gather, the dangerous substance is like cocaine or heroine
illegally acquired and probably narcotics with intent to distribute would
be like xanax, pain killers which most have MSO4 added. (morphine)
But to tell you the truth, I'm not sure.
