Then, the lake was hit by a 'firenado' setting the inflammable liquid alight.
The
firenado was caused when a bolt of lighting hit the ground setting a
fire which was in the path of a tornado, which sucked up the flames,
creating a terrifying spiralling inferno.

DeleteNow that gives new meaning to Bourbon and branch water!
ReplyDeleteSeriously, 800,000 gallons is less than 3 feet deep in a one
acre lake. Alcohol readily mixes with water as we all know
and the alcohol content in water has to be greater than 50%
or 100 proof to burn so unless that was a real small lake I
have to call bullshit on the article. CH
Interesting. The only thing I'm familiar with is the rice whiskey in Vietnam which comes in 40, 60 and 80%, as I remember. When I bought the 80, my mother-in-law would poke a chopstick in the bottle, afterwards light a match under the chopstick and if it burned, she was satisfied that I hadn't been cheated. :)
