Thank you for posting that magnificent colorized photograph of Colonel John Singleton Mosby.
I downloaded it and added it to my albums.
When I was a boy, I'd come home from school and watch episodes of the broadcast series, "THE GRAY GHOST", on the Magnavox black and white television console in our living room.
I remember, when I was living in Washington, D.C. at the Ol' Soldiers' Home, reading some historic news reports concerning him.
In one of those historic news reports, Mosby's Rangers rode up, uninvited, to a Sunday School picnic, where they proceeded to dance with the ladies and eat all of the ice cream.
John Singleton Mosby, aka the Gray Ghost.
