Hi Brock, Back in "da' Day!!" Any day at "High School" ('59-'63) was "RACE DAY!!" From Frankie Costanza's dad's '59 NHRA Class "B" top fuel dragster "Winner, to Billy Montgomery's '57 Chevy in "Candy Apple red' to my Buddy Robbie's Ford...that he let me take for a run one night and get my first ever "Speeding Ticket" in......those were the "DAZE!!!" Peddal 2 da' Metal!!, III%, skybill-out
It is amazing what twin turbos can do. My 9 second Malibu had a Steve Schafiroth 406 and 3 stages of nitrous and it was impossible to launch as nicely as a TT car. Hit the nitrous right off the green and the car was scraping the bumper.
Her car has to have cost as much as my house. Who are her Parents?
I lost my license for two years, 6 days after getting it on my 16th birhday.
My '66 Mustang 289HIPO 4 speed got me in some trouble. I sold it and bought my friends '69 Camaro SS 396. I had the same problem. If God had not intended us to drive that fast he would have not given us that amount of power.
I had to "detune" it to get it to run on the crap gas back in the 80s. Every once in a while I would save enough money and go to a place in Santa Fe Springs, Ca. that sold 101 Sunoco. I'd fill up and advance the timing back to where it should have been in the parking lot. You must have had a lot of fun running hi test gas all of the time. I wish I still had that car.
Yes, I had it in '65 (Good gas was plentiful)when I got it from a friend with 5K on it as he had lost his insurance. They were $3.5K new. Sold it for $1,950 when I went in the Army in September '66. It had been abused, the carpet was soaked with bourbon, the roof of the car had been stomped in by a girl in her high heels when she found me in the back of a friend's station-wagon with a girl, wouldn't downshift from rtd anymore and the body had come off the frame from shifting and yes, I wish I had it too! :)

DeleteNeat! I had that in the fastback model in 1965. First person I have found who had a similar one. The model held C stock for a number of years.
