When a veteran started offering traditional remarks at a military
flag-folding ceremony, several uniformed airmen assaulted him, dragging
him out of the room because his remarks mentioned God.

lawyers representing retired Senior Master Sergeant Oscar Rodriguez are
demanding that the U.S. Air Force apologize and punish those
responsible or face a federal civil-rights lawsuit.

This is why I don't agree with those people who say that active-duty military personnel would resist a widespread gun confiscation; a large number of them would simply follow orders, and after a few object lessons were made over those who displayed a conscience, the rest would grumble and fall into line.
I'm sure enough will to cause a huge problem and there will be many dead on both sides. Sure, some will give them up, but many won't. It's a suicide mission.
People still think the armed services are going to come to the citizens aid and rescue when things go real wrong. Some will, most won't because of brain washing, a paycheck and benefits to self and family. I feel as you do, Mr. Brock, ain't my military, I am proud of my service, and my military back when. I am ashamed of the military today. I don't hero worship them and I don't stay around and chat with them.
What a disgrace. What has become of our Military?
