Afghan cleric arrested for marrying six-year-old girl

An elderly Afghan cleric has been arrested after he married a six-year-old girl, officials said Friday (July 29), in the latest case highlighting the scourge of child marriages in the war-battered country.

Mohammad Karim, said to be aged around 60, was held in central Ghor province as he claimed her parents gave him the girl as a "religious offering", officials said.

But they cited the family of the girl, believed to be in shock, as saying that she was abducted from western Herat province, bordering Iran.

"This girl does not speak, but repeats only one thing: 'I am afraid of this man'," said Masoom Anwari, head of the womens affairs department in Ghor.

    The Taliban or the consequences government will find a way to release him, even hold him up as some sort of religious model. After all he is just follow the example if the prophet. I'd bet he promised not to rape her until she was at least nine!

    And THIS is what the traitors want to bring to America? Where's the outrage from feminists and homosexuals? It's they who will suffer most under sharia law. Oh, I get it....they only hate heterosexual White males, and everyone else get a free pass.

    And where's the outrage from the Christian pulpits? Where are the pastors, the priests and the ministers sounding off against these vile musloid creatures? Cat got their tongue? They haven't thought about it yet? They all are cowards.
