This n' That

Grace, a marvelous/sad story. Named such as her mother had an operation to allow her to conceive within six months, but fortunately she was born two years later.  At 17, she gave blood and found she had a liver problem, although none had existed in her family before.  She is now on 12 weeks of an experimental drug, which will be replaced with another one for 12 weeks if the first doesn't have success.  Neither have much hope and if so, the only option is a liver transplant.  She has a wonderful attitude, which I reinforced  as much as I could with my 42 year success story, so far, though mine pales in comparison to the severity of her problem. She'll keep her chin up, I am sure!

Luke won fourth place in the Buddy Pelletier 2016 contest. Would have probably been first or second if it hadn't been delayed for two hours because of lightning and White Lightning interfered....... :)

Spanish Mackerel in abundance this year.

Double rainbow that Luke pointed out.

Front yard.

The Morehead City Marlins.  A wonderful field.  Top rated college players come here to play in this league if they expect to go to the minor/major leagues, so they can practice with wooden bats. Their skill is extraordinary.

The ice cream eating contest.  No losers here. :)

  1. Dang!! I knew I should have taken you up last week on your offer. I don't think it gets much better than that at the beach. I hope the offer still stands, maybe I can visit for a day or two during spring break.
