It is clear by now that President Obama hasn’t done a good job when it comes to foreign policy.
There isn’t a single section on the map where things are better now than they were 8 years ago.
He has made Iran pretty happy, though.
It’s also clear that the military hasn’t been managed very well.
You’ve probably seen the stories about how frustrated the military is under Obama.
Now, President Obama has earned another dubious distinction…

But we still have 10 of them. Only two are down for maintenance. One is in Japan as it's home port. So, how is this an example of mismanagement? Just because we have always had carriers out on patrol doesn't mean it is the best way of doing things. Will all the complainers in this article sleep better when the Bush launches and puts to sea later this month? We aren't at war with anyone where our carrier strike ability matters.
ReplyDeleteNoteworthy I thought because of the BS Sun piece I posted the same day.

DeleteAnd for the record, I seriously doubt that between golf games Obama has the time to micromanage fleet deployments. The stereotype is for presidents in a crisis to ask the CJC, "Where is the closest carrier"? Not to plan ahead to have a carrier there.

DeleteNot assuring, needless to say.
