very existence of Israel.
- Hamas deserves credit for one thing: its honesty concerning its intentions to destroy Israel and kill as many Jews as possible. Hamas does not want 40,000 new jobs for the unemployed poor Palestinians in the Gaza Strip. It would rather see these unemployed Palestinians join its ranks and become soldiers in the jihad to replace Israel with an Islamic empire.

ReplyDeleteTo truly bring about peace of course, Israel looks intent on continuing to expand. It builds settlements, removes a few, builds a few more, has the US attack Israeli enemies.
And were a two state solution allowed, tiny Israel would be at threat from the Palestinians. However, it can't simply state the obvious dilemma due to public opinion.
The sad result from the conflict though in the ME is Christians have been pushed out. And of course, we've pretty much lost the US as a result of the perpetual warring. So, I do hope Trump can relocate Palestinians, finally bring peace.

DeleteGaza Strip is one part of Palestine. Israel has been expanding, confiscating privately owned Palestinian territory, for years.
And in retaliation for minor attacks, Israel brutally crushes the Palestinians from time to time.
I'm saying it's dishonest to portray the conflict so one-sidedly. And no, I don't believe Israel would offer a legitimate two-state solution. Many in Israel want two-state, but the right-wing is in power. And truth-be-told, I agree that two-state could not work. Israel is tiny. I don't believe the two can live side-by-side. So, the right-wing is correct.

Now, that said, I do not believe Israel is entirely bad.
What has me furious over the Middle East situation is US foreign policy, which is strongly influenced by Israeli interests, has eradicated ancient Christian settlements and archaeology. And many Zionists support mass immigration into America and Europe.
If we could wrap things up, relocate the Palestinians to some part of Syria, make peace with Iran with regard to Israel, and exit the Middle East permanently, it would be good.
The reason we have any conflict at all with Iran is Israel. The Saudis are actually worse than Iran, yet no one condemns the Saudis of course.
Note: It could be argued the Iranians are more tolerant of Christians because of Russia. Iran also has multiple groups within it and could become more radical.
Israel though seems to want the US to be perpetually involved in the ME, always attacking its enemies. I have a conflict of interest there. I do not want the US involved at all in the ME.
Recently Kristol said that maybe whites should be replaced by a new citizenry if we're too spoiled. What Kristol meant is he wants funding for continued war, not funding for welfare. Kristol wants war for Israel and also for global empire. Note: Many Zionists will have a significantly different position from Kristol, so I'm not suggesting Zionist=Neocon.
But my interests are to remove the US entirely and permanently from the ME. Otherwise, I have no conflict with Israel, but this is a very serious conflict since potentially trillions of dollars are involved.
Israel should bring about a viable state that can stand on its own. And then, it should go about with the standing. And America should stand on its own.
We have all but exterminated ancient Christians from large areas of the Middle East, including Christians who spoke Aramaic.
Today I read how the Copts are under increasing attack. None of this would be happening if not for US interventions. Before the revolution, the Copts were better off in Egypt. And ISIS was not a thing.
And the way the US tries to influence Muslims in the ME is bad. We try to make them liberal. What we should do, if we must meddle, is try to make them conservative, opposite from ISIS. They should embrace their traditions, their ethnicity, their heritage. Such people would be opposite from ISIS which is abstract as communism is abstract. A follower of ISIS could likely readily convert to most any other ideology. But you wouldn't expect a tribal Arab who appreciates archaeology to be at risk of joining ISIS. Conservative roots are the cure and the preventative for these ideologies of modernism. I suppose ISIS is a sort of anti-modern ideology, but it's nevertheless an ideology.

ReplyDeleteAin't it the truth. And Hamas would make sure the unemployed poor Palestinians stay that way so they will stay dependent on Hamas.

Palestinians will never give up their claims to the land though while their identity and ties to the land remain. So, the only way to truly take all their land is to remove them entirely.
What's worth noting though is the Palestinians are quite possibly more Jewish by blood than are the Israelis, on the whole. The few Christians living in Palestine and elsewhere in the ME might also be of Jewish blood. So, if there's a Biblical duty for Christians to serve Jews, then it's unclear which side is truly Jewish. Certainly the Christian religion is the true religion for a Christian; so the Jewish genetics then become what one is meant to serve, if indeed there is special calling there. Many say Christianity as a faith is today the true Jews.
Regardless, if relocated elsewhere in the ME, Palestinians could start over. The two simply can't live side-by-side. Granting them all Israeli citizenship would result in a Muslim-majority.
