I spent some time today on the Southern Sense radio show and discussed Lies of Omission, but more importantly, we discussed the issues of the day. I can only be a marketing whore for so many hours in a day, then I revert back to the fact that we did this film for a reason, several reasons, but they all come back to one thing: the government is operating outside of legitimacy and is likely to do whatever is expedient for them. It is a government turned on the very people who sustain it, because we no longer sustain it. They have spent themselves into a debt outside of the American people.
One might frame the issue any way they choose, but it is consistent on one issue, the government is broken and flailing with both arms (Republican and Democrat) at their own shadow, against the evil they have fostered, that is inevitable whenever a government functions with no oversight, with no accountability, with no discipline. The very idea of high-level government officials going to jail is not even considered despite the open, obvious and brazen crimes committed as a matter of "doing business." We nearly elected a candidate for President of the United States under active FBI investigation for, in effect, selling state secrets to fund her campaign and half the country still clings to that candidate as a savior and a blessing.
