"There's beautiful girls here, Oh never you mind
Beautiful shapes nature never designed
lovely complexions of roses and cream
But let me remark with regard to the same
That if at that those roses you venture to sip
The colours might all come away on your lips
So I'll wait for the wild rose that's waitin' for me
In the place where the dark Mourne sweep down to the sea."
I spent many happy days in and around the mountains of Mourne in Ulster. My ancestors came from the area on the border of Counties Down and Armagh so while living in the republic of Ireland I often visited the "North". Spectacular mountains and coast line.
ReplyDeleteI would love to go.
DeleteBrock, I was going to email you a photo of my daughter at the "Giant's Causeway" in Antrim, Northern Ireland but your "contact me" link doesn't work.
ReplyDeleteThanks and brocktownsend@gmail.com.
