Monday, July 13th, in the year of our Lord 2009, is the188th birthday of American legend and Southern Hero – Gen. Nathan Bedford Forrest.
President Obama continued a century-old tradition, on Memorial Day, by honoring American Servicemen and women buried at Arlington National Cemetery and sending a wreathe to the Confederate and Black Union soldier’s section.
Some criticized Obama for remembering the Confederate soldiers buried at section 16 but, like his predecessors, the president did the historically-correct and Patriotic thing in remembering ‘All’ American Veterans.

Reading Gen Nathan Bedford Forrest's speech to the Black Community of Memphis, it's obvious that he was not what the modern ignorant bigots of cultural Marxism say. Rather, he wanted to integrate and elevate free black persons into society. But modern history revisionists revile his name and seek to remove it from public, like at my alma mater, Middle Tennesse State University where their name Blue Raiders come from Gen Forrests innovative military raid tactics. Yet these same bigots have no problem with keeping The Lincoln Memorial and worshipping his name even though he was a racial supremacist. Nor do they refuse to carry a $50 bill with the slave-owning Union Gen, Ulysess S. Grant. who kept his slaves until AFTER the War Between the States when the enactment of the 13th and 14th Amendments overturned the 1857 SCOTUS Dred Scot decision. Ignorance, bigotry and prejudice abound! It's they way to bring back slavery! --Ron W
