Congressional Republicans indicated
Tuesday they will take up the Trump administration's call to consider
legislation to replace the Obama-era DACA program, though condemnation
from Democrats over the decision to end it points to a heated battle
ahead.
In a show of unity, Sens. Lindsey
Graham, R-S.C., and Dick Durbin, D-Ill., spoke to reporters about their
push for a bipartisan "Dream Act"-style bill Tuesday afternoon.
Durbin said the "countdown to deportation" sets a clear timetable for lawmakers to act.
More @ Fox
I have little use for Lindsey or Turbine Durbin.
ReplyDelete:) Not much.
DeleteThe Republicans (all) will suck and suckle the emotional tit and it'll wind up that 800,000 illegal criminals will be loose on American soil in the name of the farmer and fast food industry lobby. My solution and the only valid solution id to have the military round up all 800,000 and ship them back to Mexico and central America. Silly, inane emotional spasms are going to destroy this country.

Delete& they are making progress already.
“The Congress is going to have to up its game,” Graham said.
ReplyDeleteThat is down right funny. Congress is too busy fighting itself. The current Congress has accomplished less than any of their predecessors in the past 60 years.

DeleteI don't doubt it. The only things that have been accomplished were by the P.
Eight years to prepare to end Obamacare and nothing gets done.
ReplyDeleteTrump ends CACA (sort of) and scumbag "legislators" fall all over themselves trying to fix it.

Just amazing.
I was so elated to hear the decapitation of the unconstitutional
ReplyDeleteDACA but then came the 'buts' - putting it off on Congress
do-nothings and free to continue to be illegal for six more
months if not permanently.
Try to sneak around in Mexico like this and see how it works out for you. These 'dreamers' can blame it on their
parents.
Thanks and here is what NumbersUSA states:
Delete"There is NOT a 6-month delay on ending DACA amnesty
I was extremely concerned when I first heard over the weekend that Pres. Trump was going to end the executive DACA amnesty but only after giving Congress six months to enact a legislative amnesty.
That would have provided six months for immigration expansionists inside the Administration to delay the end of DACA even further once the deadline approached.
The reality is not perfect but is far better than advertised.
1. DACA ends today for anybody wanting to apply for the first time for a work permit or any other benefit.
2. DACA ends Oct. 5 for anybody wanting to apply for a renewal of a work permit.
Donald J. Trump @realDonaldTrump
DeleteCongress now has 6 months to legalize DACA (something the Obama Administration was unable to do). If they can't, I will revisit this issue!

This was a good article on broken promises. Basically,
ReplyDeletewe don't have a country.

In Mexico, a family went on vacation; their baby became
ill, very ill. They took the baby to the Mexican hosp.
The hosp. did not recognize their health insurance. Before
they would even touch the baby, they wanted $33,000 dollars
upfront - they did not have that kind of money. US
donations came thru for them. The Mexican hosp would have
let the baby die before they would have touched the baby.
You can bet your life this gov didn't help them.
Thanks and a good piece.
DeleteWell now, since DACA is a violation of existing law and even SCOTUS agrees it is a violation of existing law and is un-Constitutional it would seem the prudent step would be to enforce the laws of the republic and let the "rule of law" stand on it's own obvious merits. Of course these days when the House Squeaker Lyin Ryan and others who have sworn an oath before Almighty God and country encourage the continued violation of said laws, about the only way they can "fix" it is to somehow magically declare amnesty.
ReplyDeleteIt would be laughable if it weren't so damnable. Personally, given the power to do so, I'd charge everyone who has allowed and encourage this lawlessness, try them under RICO, and once found guilty confiscate all their ill gotten gains. For if the vast majority of Congress and government isn't a corrupt organization the term has no meaning.
In the unlikely event such power is granted to me I'll consider that their final Judge sits in wait of their, hopefully soon, arrival.
Y'all have a nice day.
Amen!
