We've fought in Afghanistan for 16 years now. Are we making progress?
After 9/11, we invaded, overthrew the Taliban, killed Osama Bin Laden and -- stayed. Afghanistan is now America's longest war, ever.
President Trump's solution? He'll send several thousand more soldiers.
Erik Prince says he has a better idea -- fight terrorists with only 2,000 American Special Operations personnel, plus "a contractor force" of 6,000.

NO. We not making progress. Afghanistan can not be conquered by outsiders. It can not be done.

And the women come out to cut up what remains
Just roll to your rifle and blow out your brains
An go to your God like a good soldier

TPTB and those in the shadows, don't want any progress. The illusion of it, yes, but no real progress. Too many people and organizations have their own financial interests and agenda involved. The only way it will end is when there is another version of the Viet Nam anti-war movement, that has the support of the general public.
As for the length of the Unconstitutional Undeclared War in Afghanistan (Congress has yet to formally declare war on Afghanistan); how does it compare against the Indian Wars this country fought in it's drive west?
the Indian Wars
DeleteDisgraceful
The US needs to get out.
ReplyDeleteSpend trillions on Americans instead. I'd rather have the US adding gold plate to the latest Section 8 housing than wasting money on bribes in Afghanistan.
Bribe American race hustlers first, before Afghan hustlers!
