F-4 Phantom Last Flight: Will only be used as ground targets from now on. Sad, sad sad.


My recently departed Cousin Steven had 120 fights over North Vietnam in one of these and I know he must be sad.  He graduated from West Point, but was high enough in his class that he was able to choose Marine Aviation following his father's footsteps.

    That is sad to hear. The Phantom is my favorite jet fighter........

    Back in the early 1970's I saw the Blue Angels perform at Reading, Pennsylvania flying F4s. What a magnificent muscle machine.

      I saw them at the ETMAS show probably in 1996/7, but don't remember what they wee flying. :)
