The “war hero” candidate buried information about POWs left behind in Vietnam.
John McCain was a ‘rat’ or ‘stoolie’ telling on other U.S.
officers being held captive at the Hanoi Hilton prison. When McCain
first went to congress, members of congress turned their backs on him
and did not communicate with him because of this, and also how he
disgraced the military and his fellow officers who were severely
punished by the North Vietnam guards and commanders of the Communist
prison by McCain ratting them out. I am also led to believe that McCain
was referred to as ‘the canary’ by the other officers for telling or
squealing on the others. If you search the internet you will find some
of these articles about what McCain did to his fellow officers in
captivity and the stories of the other brave officers who reported on
McCain upon returning to the United States. He was also given special
treatment by the communists while in prison, because his father was a 4
star Admiral. Donald Trump was and is CORRECT!
McCain was personally responsible for the deadliest fire in
the history of the US Navy. That catastrophe, with 27 dead and over 100
wounded trumps McCain’s record as a prisoner of war in North Vietnam.
As I see the matter: trumps McCain's record as a prisoner of war in North Vietnam. NO. It negates it. If McCain had the smallest shred of honor, integrity and real manhood in him when that fire happened, he would have resigned his commission as an officer. I don't know how, he could have lived with himself, knowing 27 men were dead and over 100 men were wounded because of his actions.
ReplyDeleteCalling it "rat" or "stoolie", it still is a betrayal of your brothers in arms. To allow yourself to receive special treatment from the enemy is a violation of the code of conduct. What McCain is, is a traitor. I was taught, that if were ever to become a POW, I was never to betray my fellow POWs and if ever offered special treatment or considerations, I was expected to refuse the offer. I put McCain on par with Hanoi Jane Fonda.
As I stated below, I do not know the truth of his imprisonment, but I do know the truth of his and Kerry's abandonment of our POWs.
DeleteI cannot imagine being a POW. I cannot say, I would never betray fellow prisoners. I would hope and pray, I never would, but I cannot know. No one can, until they are there. John McCain served our nation. As such I will honor that. As too the rest… I think it past time, he retire and move out of the public sphere.

DeleteAgreed and as I've stated before, I do not know the truth of his imprisonment, but I do know the truth of his and Kerry's abandonment of our POWs.
