Conservative media pioneer Matt Drudge slammed drugmaker Sanofi-Aventis on Wednesday for mocking Roseanne Barr’s suggestion that her racially charged remark about Obama White House aide Valerie Jarrett was induced by Ambien.
“The drug company mocking Roseanne for her mental illness while they drug a generation is a new low!” Drudge tweeted at the drugmaker’s Twitter handle,The first report — published by Thought Catalog, titled “44 Ambien Stories That Will Creep You The Eff Out” — is a listicle of people recounting their bizarre experiences while on the drug.
One person says they had no recollection of purchases they made on Amazon.

My wife, like a lot of women have problems sleeping. Me, I can close my eyes and be asleep anytime, anywhere. But not her, she fights to sleep. In desperation she uses Ambien. Being semi-retired, she only works 3 days a week. On the nights before her work, she takes Ambien.
ReplyDeleteI’m here to tell you, Ambien, is one scary drug. On the nights she takes it, I watch her. She has done things in the night, wakes up in the morning with NO memory of having done anything. My wife is a “clean freak” and it’s not easy for me. But everything has a place and with her OCD, it damn well better be there.
Just before Halloween, she woke up one morning. Sometime in the night she got a bag of candy. Took it into her bedroom and ate the whole bag. And worse just threw the wrappers on the floor. She was shocked, she ate a bag of candy and just threw wrappers on the floor. I watch her very close when she takes the dog out. A couple times she has let the dog out, then went back to bed, forgetting about the dog. She has gotten up in the middle of the night made pancakes and has no memory in the morning.
My daughter is even worse. She cannot take Ambien. Her doctor has put an order out, so no pharmacy will fill a prescription for her. She wrecked two cars waking up and going out. Both times no memory of why she was out or where she was going.
Ambien is a dangerous drug.

My goodness and thanks for the information. I have had much the same problem for countless years. Melatonin has problems but nothing like this. Ask her doctor for Amitriptyline 50 mg. It was put out first for neck pain and then they found out it was good for sleeping problems. I have been taking it since I had my voice box removed in 1995 and there have been no diverse effects. Let me know please.
