You won't hear this from the main stream Liberal media and especially from the Irish press, but:
"Ireland: Homeowners asked to house Muslim migrants in the spare rooms of their homes for up to a year."
I lived in Ireland (A member of the European Union) for several years and I know the enclave of subservience to a Socialist regime reinforced by the Catholic indoctrination promoting Martyrdom make the cultural "coexist" feel-good factors motivate the Celtic drones.
Perhaps, I am just wired different. I do not feel any guilt about what was done in the past. I especially do not feel any guilt about what was done in the context of the time it was done. My ancestors were rounded up and used as slaves by the Romans. I’m not pissed at Italians. My ancestors also rose up against their slavery and killed thousands of Romans for their freedom. And I don’t have one shred of guilt, over those murders.
I just do not understand, taking the morals and standards of today and trying to force them into a time, they did not exist. We have luxury and freedom of time our ancestors could never imagine. They worked dawn to dusk just to survive. The idea of relaxing over the weekend never occurred. It was simple, you worked and produced, or you staved to death. There were no other options. Therefore, you cannot take today and superimpose it on the past. It does not work.
All four of my grandparents were born in Germany. They came to America in the 1880s. Please, tell me why I should feel one sliver of guild over slavery in the Americas? And why should I owe anything to descendants of those slaves, anything. Slavery was a fact of the time, get over it. It has nothing to do with today. And by the way, slavery still exists today. You want to be pissed about slavery. Go after the countries that still allow it. And STFU about what was here 150-years-ago.
My mother was an immigrant, coming here in the 1950's. Do I get a 50% discount? My wife is also an immigrant; do my kids get a 50% discount on top of that?
My ancestor helped the Union (sorry Brock ;) - nobody in my family on my father's side, to my knowledge, EVER owned or participated in the slave trade.
But I tell you what. Let's indeed right this wrong. Ship 'em back to the country that most closely resembles their genetic profile, and revoke their citizenship.
:) I on the other hand had ancestors who arrived here during the 16 and 17 hundreds and all had slaves at one point until 1865. 24 fought in the Late Unpleasantness with many wounded, killed and POWs. "A dreary ride of 30 miles without food for man or beast, brought us to Joseph Pippen's; here we were kindly entertained: Our friend Pippen hath been settled in the Connecta Swamps for twenty years: he hath six children, and about fifty slaves, and never has had a death in his family: mercy and miracle, may they praise the Lord!" http://www.namsouth.com/viewtopic.php?t=42&highlight=joseph+pippen
This crap has been taught to the children for 60 years now. No wonder we have this same thinking here in the USA. Both my parents were German who immigrated in the 30s and assimilated and were proud Americans. Guilt, my ass. Rather the U.N. agenda at work.

ReplyDeleteIf you have no interest in assimilating you shouldn't be allowed here.
DeleteInstead, we are being told we have to cater to their culture. Islam will NEVER assimilate...NEVER! Islam is incompatible with Western values.
DeleteAbsolutely.
