Russian Army Gets the Weapons of the Future Today
Nicholas II owned Europe’s most lavish car park, with 56 cars in
1917 – more than any other European monarch. #Romanovs100 takes a
closer look at the Tsar’s unique collection from 4-tonne limos to his
son’s tiny Peugeot Bebe.
While rich Russians had
enjoyed motorized vehicles since the 1890s, it took the royal family
some time to catch up. Imperial Household Minister Vladimir Frederiks
invited the Tsar for a ride in his French Serpollet in the late 1890s,

using horses.
