Silent Sam Will Return To The UNC Campus

This is great news.

I agree with the decision to place Silent Sam in an indoor building with “state-of-the-art security.” If Silent Sam is restored to its previous location, it will just be vandalized again:

    Bitter victory.
    The statue should not have been disturbed in the first place, and the criminal behavior should have been avoided by proper education in the second. Even if a protest was organic the punishment should have fit the crime.
    But I'll take it.

    Sad ain't it when right before your eyes, you see your culture & history memory holed while a statue of Lenin is celebrated.

    It's not going to be pretty. I saw an apt description of white people the other day. He said we don't have a dimmer switch, ours is an on/off...vote/kill everyone.
