the statue glorifies a Confederate general, who fought to preserve the institution of slavery and tear our great country apart.
the statue is historically inaccurate, because the monument claims Lee was "personally against secession and slavery."
"Yet Lee was a brutal slave owner," the statement said. "(Lee) fought for the Confederacy comprised of states that each explicitly mentioned slavery as the justification for secession; and, the army he led kidnapped free blacks and massacred surrendering black Union soldiers

DeleteI'm so damn sick of this revisionist 'history'... but when folks like yourself, and others,(myself included) speak out, to correct the record, our voices are shut out from the public forums, to the point were we are essentially, preaching to ourselves. Whenever I have the opportunity to correct, false information (lies) I find that in most cases, the public school indoctrination, and online propaganda, have been so successful... that the brains of those I speak to, have already, PETRIFIED! Tragic.
