I worked for a small Cable TV company back in the day as a lineman and we used Klein's belts and hooks and there was not velcro anywhere. I don't think I would trust it. Back then I don't think I could have donned by gear that fast. It would have been a recovery instead of a rescue...
I use to do that when I was a little younger 😉 and I switched to Velcro 6months into my apprenticeship and have been wearing them for over 20 years and they haven't failed me yet...Now I hang from a helicopter so don't use them as much...
I "hooked" poles for NJ Bell back in the early 1970's. Can't say I liked it but it was a $101 a week job and so I took it.
ReplyDelete:) Wonder what it pays now?
