It begins: Virginia forms active militia to protect sheriffs, citizens from unconstitutional laws

Virginia proposes bill that outlaws minors using guns to fend off home invaders


Things are getting really bad in Virginia. But this group isn’t going down without a fight.

Virginia – Earlier in the week, we reported on how lawmakers over in Virginia were threatening to use the National Guard if members of local law enforcement refused to enforce laws passed in the state that they felt violated the second amendment.

Well, looks like Tazewell County isn’t going down without a fight. On top of calling themselves a second amendment sanctuary county, they’re also crafting a militia as well. The Virginia county has taken the movement that has swept across the state and added an element that is sure to trigger pro gun-grabbing politicians in the state.

    It's an excellent idea. In accordance with a GRAMMATICAL READING of the 2nd Amendment and the understanding of our founders, counties or States can simply declare "the whole people" or all adult citizens to be the militia. Such a proper understanding of "militia" would also RESTRICT the Federal Government to its enumerated delegated power "for governing such PART OF THEM as may be EMPLOYED IN ITS SERVICE." (Article I, Section 8.15-16). Reiterating that RESTRICTION is why the main clause of the 2nd Amendment mandates that "the right of the People shall not be infringed." --Ron W

    Time to load up with UHF 400-470Mhz Walkie Talkies that have 5 to 8 watts. The Governor is talking about shutting down the commercial comm grid before he sends in National Guard.

    The state commander of the NG is an appointed position. It is not earned and the appointee can be a newly enlisted buddy of the Governor but he also may be a graduate of the War College. If he is a graduate of the War College he will diplomatically tell the Governor to pound sand as he must support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic. That is best case scenario. I can see field officers and NCO's refusing to follow illegal orders.

      And the Sheriff can tel either to go to hell.

      RE: the Governor taking control of electronic comms, I think he'll have a difficult time when the fedgov forbids him to do so. What, will the Governor declare martial law? hahaha
      Again, the Sheriffs can tell him to pound sand, and defend by force.
