Sen. Joe Manchin (D-WV) appears to be doing damage control after voting to find the president guilty on both articles of impeachment. Manchin is one of three Democratic senators that voted to find the president guilty who represent states the president won in 2016. Manchin also voted in favor of calling new witnesses and evidence and proposed a censure of the president in the days leading up to the final vote.
Manchin's West Virginia colleague, GOP Sen. Shelley Moore Capito, said in a recent Fox News interview that Manchin's vote wasn't being well-received back in West Virginia.

Yes and he defeated Al Mollohan who was the incumbent and my fellow class mate in military school. I believe now is the time for all those who say 'but my father voted Democratic' to man up and switch.

I don't understand how they keep voting for Manchin as the rest of the state goes red. He is awful. Another treasonous Democrat. He only voted for Kavanaugh when he knew the judge would be confirmed.
ReplyDeleteManchin is not a conservative at all. His vote to convict Trump shows he is as bad any of the radical Democrats. They all have to be tossed out. The Dems are a disease filled party that need to be cleansed out of as many positions as possible. Guys like Manchin and Doug Jones of Alabama need to be shown the door. I 100% think Jones is finished after his vote. Manchin is always a toss up who somehow squeezes back in. Hopefully not next time.
