It is that time of the Year for our 2nd Annual Oyster Roast at Charles B Aycock Birthplace. As most of you know the State funds very little of the programs that go on at the Birthplace. The Advisory Council sponsors fundraisers so that these programs can go on for our school children. We thank each of you for your generous support in our fundraisers and the children of NC do also. Hurry and get your tickets , only 150 tickets available.

Damn, I wish, I lived closer. You-all don’t know the pain of being a fresh seafood lover and living in the middle of the country.

The guess room awaits including family ghosts.....:)
DeleteThat's one helluva deal in these days of $25/half dozen oysters at just about any seafood restaurant. I miss the daze of my yute when one could buy a bushel for that kinda dough, roast them on a sheet of tin and wash them down with beers that were bought by one of your buddies who was 18.
ReplyDelete:) Raw is also good. I remember in 2002 I could buy 50 pounds in Little Washington for $25.
