The Ector County Sheriff’s office sent out an armed SWAT team in military vehicles to counter a peaceful protest at Daddy Zane’s Bar in West Odessa on Monday.
The bar reopened on Tuesday saying “all businesses are essential!”

  1. What law were they violating? If there is no law passed by the State Legislature, city or county, then there these LEO's and whoever ordered the arrests should be sued and prosecuted. --Ron W

    1. Thanks and I received this earlier.

      "Brock,
In Texas it's against the law to have a firearm in a place serving alcohol. Period. Been the law for decades. Protesters showed up armed to a bar, a place serving alcohol. ECSO just enforced existing Texas law. No big deal. Nobody was Suited up, no helos, no 105 recoiless rifles. Deputies just went in and made arrests, no stand off, no drama. The guys broke the law and that's that."

    2. Were they in the bar, outside the bar, or near the bar?
      Were they drinking?
Does any of this matter according to Texas law?
The above reply you posted sounds like bootlicking mansplaining to justify the LEO.

Why be a part of armed protest, then give up your arms?

If the above is the law verbatim, then it wouldn't make any difference whether or not they were drinking. I assume they were inside, though I don't know for sure and also don't know if that would make a difference as it depends on how the law is written.
