DeleteIf assault law enforcement is a misdemeanor, it would stand to reason that assault by law enforcement must also be a misdemeanor.

DeleteI would think that hitting an officer with a brick would be covered under other felony charges, like assault with a deadly weapon.
ReplyDeleteWhile the change in the law would keep minor things from becoming an instant felony just because it happened to an officer.
