Mobs loot, burn, and vandalize while politicians advocate defunding the police. A commune was established in Seattle and turned into Lord of the Flies while government did nothing. Blacks demand equal treatment from police despite a violent crime rate many times greater than that of whites, and mainstream media will not report honestly the differences in crime rates. “Wokeness” spreads among idle youth who flunked English 101. What is going on?
What is going on, right here on American soil, is war; a new kind of war that is also very old, waged by entities other than states. I call it Fourth Generation War and, to paraphrase Leon Trotsky, you may not be interested in Fourth Generation War—but it is interested in you.

ReplyDeleteThe man who wrote this article has not addressed the great factor of Western Civilization.
Without Christ, there would have been no Western Civilization.
He mentions St. Francis of Assisi, but does not develop the import of why St. Francis exemplifies the crux of the answer to the entire dilemma.
The darkness of societies founded on something other than "love one another as I have loved you", is the darkness which hates the light of truth. "By their fruits ye shall know them" reveals itself in the type of government a society has.
As to redeeming the time, -- of course we can: "Christ in you, the hope of glory".
Colossians 4:5 in the King James:
"Walk in wisdom toward them that are without, redeeming the time."

DeleteFourth Generation Warfare is essentially terroristic guerrilla warfare: a diffuse threat that has no nation or capital, which can strike at any place or time. Such a threat lays bare the weakness of a social order in which the defense of the nation from such things is left to the centralized powers of the State and its armed forces. Diffuse threats demand diffuse countermeasures: a public in arms. But were the ruling class to admit this, it would be tantamount to admitting that the State has arrogated responsibilities it cannot meet. At which point we ask, “Cui bono?” – which shines a spotlight on the real orientation of the State and the priorities of its masters.
