Democracy is already dead in this nation. When rampant fraud is permitted, when certifying fraudulent elections is permitted, democracy is dead. The people are no longer truly represented. When this happens, the unrepresented rise up. This is exactly what happened in 1776 and the years leading up to it.
If there was no fraud, if there was no clear cheating, the people would accept the election. But when it is clear that their votes were invalidated by fraud the result will always be rebellion in one form or another.
Who do I blame for what is happening? It is not the common voter. It is those democrats who resorted to fraud and lies and on those republicans who have no interest other than their wealth, power, and position. Those to blame are those in power as it always is. To add to all this disaffection of the people we have had abuse of power run rampant during this covid mess. This country is ripe for rebellion. It is a powder keg. It is the social elites on both sides who are to blame.
I believe what we witnessed today at the Capital was the lighting of the fuse that will bring open civil war in this nation. A 14 year military veteran and mother of 4 was shot and killed today by Capital Police. People will not forget. They will also not forget how the BLM and ANTIF riots were celebrated by the Left and this one incident at the Capital will be used by the Left to erode and attack more of our civil and constitutional liberties. This will then add more rebellion and resistance by the common people. We are entering a situation were gas will be thrown on to the fire by those who believe they have the right to rule by the bayonet. Only a miracle will stop this cycle.
I am not condoning what happened today. But I am a realist. The masses who believe their rights are being trod upon will rise up.This is proven over and over throughout human history. The more tyrants clamp down the more it will stoke resistance. The Law abiding people will only remain law abiding if their voices are heard. When their liberties and voices are attacked their only recourse is to rebel. This is exactly what happened in 1776. It is happening again.
God have mercy on us all.
Democracy:. Mob rule at the ballot box. We haven't had an actual democracy in America the way people imagine. And what we've had for the past several decades is more akin to a combination of a kleptocracy combined with Idiocracy.
ReplyDeletea combination of a kleptocracy combined with Idiocracy.
DeleteIndeed.
“When the law no longer protects you from the corrupt, but protects the corrupt from you – you know your nation is doomed.”
ReplyDelete― Ayn Rand
Describes perfectly where we are as a nation.
I fear, at this point, regaining our Constitutional Republic will not be accomplished without bloodshed, and lots of it.
Those that attempt to reclaim our Constitutional Republic, will, as our original founding fathers, be labeled as rebels and traitors, by the MSM, our corrupt politicians, and the weak-kneed among us.
In the words of Patrick Henry, “If this be treason, make the most of it!”
“If this be treason, make the most of it!”

yesterday may well be recorded as the modern boston tea party. but only if the patriots win. the winners write history, ya know.. if the libs win, yesterday will be an attempted coup that was crushed by the glorious national forces.
ReplyDeleteif the libs win, yesterday will be an attempted coup that was crushed by the glorious national forces.
DeleteAbsolutely.
There are 'fake coups'...Wednesday...and 'real coups' which began 4 years ago, before he even raised his hand, with Pelousey calling for his impeachment. For what? He hadn't even breathed air in the 'Oral Office' yet!
DeleteThe real one just happened. joe tentpeg
Really and thanks.
DeleteControl the media, control the narrative.
ReplyDeleteReally.
DeleteThere are many quotes from our founders re: democracy being a failed and even dangerous form of government. Though the democratic process is used, it was greatly constrained by the Constiution within a Constitutional Republic. In the Federal Government, direct democratic elections were only applied to House representatives and the voting among Congressional members. Originally the Senate was appointed by or elected by State Legislatures who were directly elected by the People to represent only the interests of that State. Thus, what democracy that we applied was local and those elected were close to the People --Ron W

DeleteExactly.
We were designed to be a democratically elected constitutional republic. Where the individual is endowed by our creator with certain inalienable rights recognized and protected by our elected representation. We do not have that. Those ideas were thrown out the window in the sixties. Democratic mob rule is exactly what happened yesterday. It spooked the GOP enough to get in line and for the most part they did. Democratic democracy rule forever is the goal and now they will have it. Free and fair elections are a thing of the past. It is our republic that has been chipped away for decades under a disguise of safety by those we elected to represent US. I finally understand why we find so many abandoned cities. Eventually leaders turn on those they want to control and the civil society collapses.

DeleteThe sooner the better.
While the internets tend to pointlessly natter on about democracy vs republic, we can at least all agree that the USA is supposed to have open democratically elected representatives in our legislature and that those legislatures and elected officials act on behalf of the people of the country. The fact that our elections are hopelessly corrupt, and likely have been for a long time, doesn't change the nature of our government. We still have a government who really represents a very small minority of people, just like we have for decades.
ReplyDeleteThe constitution does not call for fair and free elections for President. It specifically called for the states to choose electors, and they have done so, by ratifying the results of an obviously corrupt process. Americans should be thanking the Democrats for teaching us that elections were NEVER really honest.

Brought out by Trump's many complaints.

DeleteHi Brock....,
ReplyDeleteI could write a book... but, I instead, take a breath and say .....
"Truth crushed to the earth is still Truth still and like a seed will rise again."
-Jefferson B. Davis (1808-1889)-
President Davis wrote this many years ago....
I wrote this to you in a letter on the Birthday of President Davis (which is also my B'Day!!) ... a letter that I must say my "MUSE" was guiding my hand.. and you show in your side bar...
Those are fitting words for times as these..... and now even more "Poignant!!!!!"
One evening some time ago now... I had a thought... again my "MUSE" guided my hand and first run I wrote..
"The Flame of Truth can never be vanquished!
Even when burned to an ash... it is not dead.
For Its' Soul is immortal ....
and, the lies used to suppress it
are only chaff.....
to be blown away by the next wind....
