Senate "lacks jurisdiction over the 45th President because he holds no public office from which he can be removed"
It is admitted that on January 6, 2021 a joint session of Congress met with the Vice President, the House and the Senate, to count the votes of the Electoral College. It is admitted that after the November election, the 45th President exercised his First Amendment right under the Constitution to express his belief that the election results were suspect, since with very few exceptions, under the convenient guise of Covid-19 pandemic"safeguards” states election laws and procedures were changed by local politicians or judges without the necessary approvals from state legislatures. Insufficient evidence exists upon which a reasonable jurist could conclude that the 45th President’s statements were accurate or not, and he therefore denies they were false.

I would advise Trump to seek out a trial in the Senate.
ReplyDeleteIt is by far the best chance to investigate and put out evidence for voter fraud and unless I am mistake he can also use the power of the subpoena along with putting people under oath to defend himself. Just sit back and imagine what an interesting spectacle would result from such tactics.
It's long past time we went on the attack. This would be a great place to start and I'd be happy to donate to the cause.
I'd also wager the farm the dimocraps and rinos would run for the hills to avoid it.
Y'all have a nice day.
That's a good idea.
DeleteTerrible idea. All of those things assume a fair system. The 2020 elections showed us it was corrupt from top to bottom. It will be nothing but a show trial. No favorable witnesses followed by a party line vote with romney collins etc voting as dems.
Delete--generic
No favorable witnesses
DeleteIf the opposition brings in a witness, then there will be favorable witnesses.
Even if it isn't 'fair', which is a reasonable conclusion, it still provides a chance to show how utterly corrupt the system has become as well as taking the mask off the real threats to the republic. There is considerable value in either scenario, in my opinion.
ReplyDeleteIn the end doing nothing or allowing them to dictate strategy and battlefield tactics is a loosing proposition.
