The United States has always had a love affair with certain generals. George Washington, of course, was immensely popular, and thirteen US presidents were generals before they were president.
But prior to the Second World War, generals as a group were not revered or treated with any particular veneration or respect. In fact, in the nineteenth century, full-time US military officers were often treated with suspicion and contempt. While state militia officers were regarded as indispensable night watchmen who preserved order, the full-time government employees who served in the federal military were often derided as lazy and otherwise unemployable.

It is fundamentally impossible to achieve flag rank in the military and remain honest and patriotic. The ENTIRE flag level command structure has been infiltrated and subverted by the left....just like academia and the media. ANYONE not "part of the club" can NEVER be promoted past a certain level in the military....and that rank level gets lower and lower all the time.
ReplyDeleteWhat has become of our once great nation?
DeleteSeems like all the flag officers are millionaires and want to tell you how to think like you've a buck private.
ReplyDeleteStory was right on. I saw it at Raytheon where I worked. Company Boards are nothing but thank you gifts to those who screwed others so the company prospers. Leaders in Govt should be audited. Problem is the auditors are all embedded. Has anyone ever seen a special counsel present the whole truth? Lower class government workers seldom rat on their leaders because the leaders dangle pensions overhead and top pay has hush money. Change the subject some, why do police officer put up with the crap dished out in these socialist cities? Pensions keep them working. Poor pay but great pensions.
