The city council in Asheville, N.C., this week unanimously approved $2.1 million in reparations for black residents in a mostly white community.

The funding will come from the sale of city property. The city plans to spend $200,000 on the planning and community engagement process and about $1.9 million on initial reparations.

  1. Reparations, hmmm. In the old Asheville before the arrival of
communist liberals this would be a non issue. The city council
were conservative and enjoyed traditional values. Asheville
considered the fastest growing city in the U.S. does not even
have enough cops, shy by eighty-four. The New Asheville:

    2. Yep, looks like something out of Chicongo. This is the
old part of Asheville with down-home people. I feel for
      the people in the area.

  2. Reparations were paid 150 years ago. Part of it was 40 acres and a mule. Another was a one way boat ride back to Africa to set up their own colony.

Bad idea by stupid people. But the last time I was in Ashville there were a lot of stupid people there.

  3. Time for Recall Petitions to start circulating there.....as soon as these
idiots realize this insanity will cost them their positions of power they will end this theft. But that's what it will take...removal from office.

  4. This may serve as like moths to a light. Hopefully, there are restrictions on length of residency otherwise blacks may flood this city looking for their share.

Daughter is interviewing with a company in NC being a Texan I know so little of that area and hoping that this State isn't completely messed up.

  5. And I'll never visit that place again. They won't get one penny from me.

  6. And you can bet 98% of it will disappear into the gapping maw of leftist corruption. They will establish a bureaucracy to "distribute" the funds that will be staffed with political hacks and will absorb so much in "administration costs" that there will be nothing left to actually distribute. This will be followed with demand for more money to create a permanent system. The story is as old as government.
