Select roles probably as usual and who knows if the recruit will get paid but yes they are hurting. I can't even imagine going through boot knowing what I know today.

ReplyDeleteThis would be a good time to make the military smaller. We aren't at war with anyone (yet). There's no need for this level of enticement for what amounts to "unskilled labor". The military has lost its mind. The reason people arent signing up has NOTHING to do with covid. They arent signing up because they aren't needed and even the lowest ranking private can see that.

With a $50,000 enticement, imagine the quality of recruits that this will bring. We had no such thing when I enlisted in '67.
