Several killed in shooting at Navy facility

***********************

A gunman opened fire Monday at the Washington Navy Yard — killing at least four people and wounding at least six more, including a security guard and a city police officer, authorities said.

The shooter was believed to be wounded, authorities told NBC News, and crews were combing the facility to make sure there were no other gunmen.

It was not clear whether the gunman was civilian or military.

The suspect has been described as a black male dressed in all black, carrying an “assault rifle” and a double-barreled shotgun.

A woman who gave her name as Terry Durham said a fire alarm went off, and as she and co-workers were evacuating, she saw a man down the hall raise a rifle and fire toward them, hitting a wall. “He was tall. He appeared to be dark-skinned,” she told WJLA-TV.

“He was a tall black guy,” said her co-worker, Todd Brundidge, who is black. “He didn’t say a word. He aimed the gun and fired our way, I couldn’t believe it.”

People frantically tried to run out of the building, Brundidge said.

  2. I sent this to Kenny's site earlier. It is just how I feel.

Twelve innocent people are dead as a direct result of not being able to properly defend themselves. If law abiding citizens (civilian or military) had been allowed to exercise their 2A right this bloodbath could have possibly been avoided altogether.
The “NO FIREARMS ALLOWED” signs and illegal searches have proved once again to be totally ineffective against a determined killer and only guaranteed a target rich environment for the shooter(s).

If the suspect that was killed had of been punished properly when he misused a firearm two years prior, odds are this catastrophe might have been avoided. Enforce the laws that are already in place. This is not justification for a ban, restrictions or any other infringement. Stand fast liberty loving Americans. We have given up to much already.

if all of the illegal surveillance/searches that .gov thinks is necessary to pry into the lives of millions of law abiding-tax paying Americans was worth a damn, then why didn’t .gov preempt this strike?

Do not punish me or law abiding citizens because of some actions of a lunatic, government mind control experiments gone haywire or jihadist, etc.

    Deo Vindice
