In his new full-length documentary film, “There’s No Place Like Utopia,” Joel Gilbert found Peggy Joseph, the Florida voter who became infamous during the 2008 presidential campaign for saying Barack Obama would “pay for my gas and my mortgage.”
Surprisingly, some six years into the Obama presidency, Joseph has turned against the president, disappointed that he did not deliver on his “hope and change” campaign promises.
“Peggy reminded me of Dorothy from ‘The Wizard of Oz,’ who thought the magical wizard would solve all her problems,” Gilbert told WND in an interview.

hard to believe how smart productive people could have been so duped... wishful thinking. Maybe we misinterpreted her comments - she likely meant she wanted gas prices to go down under Obama and the mortgages brought under control - doubt if she really meant that the govt. was going to start paying all her bills. Gas was about $1.89 a gallon in Michigan when Obama got into office - Carl Levin was blasting those prices and demanding an investigation of Bush & Cheney for keeping the prices so high for their Oil buddies. The misinformation and lies are LEGION - trust no one, & verify everything. I think that is her message to all of us.
ReplyDeleteWell said and thanks. I sure thought she was brain-dead when I first saw her on the video before.
