I've had more than enough of government of, by, and for the government.  I hear a lot of empty praise for “the people who work hard and play by the rules,” but in practice the Ruling Class regards such people as pinatas to be beaten for money.  They keep coming up with examples of People Who Work Hard and Play By the Rules who nevertheless deserve to get worked over, because they're too successful, they're doing something legal the Ruling Class disapproves of, or even merely because they lack the organized political clout needed to protect themselves from political banditry, says John Hayward in this article, Wanted: an American government that puts Americans first, at Human Events.
