In 2010 the population was 27K and now it's only 2K.
Sandy Hook Elementary school is where the (alleged) “Biggest School Shooting in US History” happened.
The infamous Firehouse is where the Sandy Hook “Memorial Service” was held — and Crisis Actors wandered in circles through the parking lot.
Driveway blocked by orange cones is “Dickenson Drive,” the entrance to the now-bulldozed Sandy Hook Elementary school. It runs adjacent to the Firehouse parking lot.

I'm not into conspiracy stuff but jeez. I wonder who owns the homes that are abandoned. How many people are going to keep paying property tax on stuff they walked away from?

DeleteNeither am I, but I posted this as it sure seems that something isn't right. I found conflicting information on the population after I posted below, so don't know.

I think of the entire northeast as "Newtown". They are too totalitarian and noisy for my comfort. The closest I ever came to the area was a transfer at DC on a train trip to go home to Minnesota on leave from the military. It was winter, the cars were unheated, and it was the only time I wore my military overcoat...and I was still cold. As this was the time when the railroads still hauled passengers it seemed as though they made it as uncomfortable as possible to ensure no one used the railroads for transport and they could discontinue service. The layover in DC was 12 hours....the train west to Minnesota was pulling out as the train from the south that I was on was coming into the station. Yea, it sucked....and I never will like the blighted views of the northeast that I saw on that trip. A drive through Compton California some years later wasn't any worse than the train trip through the NE.

DeleteThat's saying something.
