President Obama’s temporary deportation amnesty will make it
easier for illegal immigrants to improperly register and vote in
elections, state elections officials testified to Congress on Thursday, saying that the driver’s licenses and Social Security numbers they will be granted create a major voting loophole.
While
stressing that it remains illegal for noncitizens to vote, secretaries
of state from Ohio and Kansas said they won’t have the tools to sniff
out illegal immigrants who register anyway, ignoring stiff penalties to
fill out the registration forms that are easily available at shopping
malls, motor vehicle bureaus and in curbside registration drives.
Anyone registering to vote attests that he or she is a citizen, but Ohio Secretary of State Jon Husted
said mass registration drives often aren’t able to give due attention
to that part, and so illegal immigrants will still get through.

This has been going on for a lot longer than this latest round of "amnesty." If someone attests to be a citizen in Michigan when getting a driver's license and then registers to vote and enrolls kids in school, no one can ask for proof of citizenship or legal residency any more. The Courts here ruled that was just plain mean and rude to question anybody. The floodgates are officially open.
ReplyDeleteInsane.
DeleteJust how many billions of dollars are removed from productive society to combat these continuing insane EO's, mandates, and measures? Each State, in turn, is forced to address time to debate, vote, and draft new measures (laws) to counter. Then they assign armies of attorneys to litigate in Federal courts. When they lose, they appeal and repeat the process. If (when) they win, they must publish, educate, and enact enforcement procedures. By that time the Fed Gov has thought up four more insane recommendations. This is all contrived, but for one purpose. Can you name it?
ReplyDeleteTo break the bank, because then we can become a Commie nation/world since this time it'll work, maybe only 50 million dead.
