Encountering almost daily criticisms of the police by Pathologically Virtuous Whites of the sort one finds at Salon and NPR, many of these criticisms being nonsensical, I find myself wanting to ask these unpleasantly nice people:
Do you know any cops? Have you ever known any? I mean known them well enough to have a beer with after work, or to invite to a get-together at your house. Have you ever really talked to a cop?
As I thought.
More @ Fred On Everything
Ever notice how bobbies (English police) hardly kill anyone? It's about time we started real gun control, on agents of the state. The only constitutionally legal statute enforcers are Sheriffs and their deputies. Yet there are 20yr olds carrying firearms on campuses for a paycheck. There is NOTHING in the constitution that grants authority to the gov to carry firearm, and it's time we recognize this fact. The ONLY thing government agents can do is violate our natural rights. This country is out of control b/c the sociopaths (look how much money they bum for doing nothing) have granted themselves authority w/o the public permission. There is an easy solution, LESS GOVERNMENT.
ReplyDeleteLESS GOVERNMENT.

The Government Can
I've seen that also, thanks.
I was a reserve deputy for 9 yrs. fred is telling the truth. It sucks. I couldnt do it anymore. I wrote one ticket n 9 yrs and didnt go to court for it. Registration violation. The driver lied to me. Only reason i wrote it. Didnt go to court cause the whole principle pissed me off.

Thanks for the info and Fred is usually right on.
DeleteI like Fred Reed and there is a lot of truth in what he is saying, but his essay cannot account for state sponsored terrorism (i.e. shooting and killing of unarmed/innocents, beatings, rapes, stealing, etc.) and income generation for the state via law enforcement in the forms of fines, confiscation, etc., the men and women who carry out such acts are complicit in tyranny. As long as acts like this are committed by the folks with badges, people will hate them and retaliate when possible. Check out this recent story of confiscation.

Thanks and I can't say what I really think of this or wish what the end results would be for these tyrants.
