“The word
that comes to my mind, and I don’t care who doesn’t like me using it, is
‘plantation,’” ESPN commentator Michael Wilbon said Monday. “The
players are here to serve me, they will do what I want no matter how
much I pay them. They are not equal to me. That’s what this says to me
and to mine.”

Just STFU already. It is idiots such as that ESPN commentator that is creating the very racism he is whining about. None of this would have happened (and no controversy) had the NFL players used some common sense and common courtesy to know that there is a time and a place. I would not deny their right to protest/petition for a redress of a grievances. However to protest by displays of disrespect to our national anthem only serves to make enemies of those who, might be willing to listen and consider your grievances. By their own actions they have made it clear that nothing will ever be good enough for them. There will ALWAYS be racism in this country. Every thing will be viewed as racist. NOTHING that whites do or give or spend on/for blacks will ever be enough. The only slave plantation that exists in this country today, is the one that is in the mind and attitudes of Blacks who want to wallow in their sniveling self pity, their self destructive behaviors, and sense of denied entitlements. If any pro-sport player does not like the rules, then quit and find another means of employment. And don't let the door hit you in the ass on your way out. Idiot Wilbon has forgotten the other Golden rule: He who has the gold makes the rules. Here is one last bit of wisdom: You don't have to like it, you just have to do it.
