Law Professor: Police Should Track Gun Purchases, Knock on Your Door After ‘Too Many’

During the October 9 airing of Tucker Carlson Tonight, law professor Richard Painter suggested police ought to be able to track gun purchases and knock on an individual’s door if that person acquires “too many.”

The professor would not define what “too many” guns would be, only that police should be able to knock on your door based on gun purchases.

Painter said:
I don’t think anybody’s going to come up with a solution that’s going to eliminate all gun violence, but we have a lot of it and this keeps happening. At a minimum, we ought to information on people like Mr. Paddock who are acquiring dozens of weapons over a very shot period of time. It amazes me that the police didn’t know that he was acquiring that many weapons over such a short period of time. That information ought to be available.
Carlson responded, “How many weapons in what period of time should trigger a visit to your house from authorities?”

    2. It is on "Knuckle draggin' my life away" As I understand it, the law mandates that "ANY DEVICE capable of rapid fire" be turned in to the government for destruction. No "grandfather" NO exceptions. The law will not name what is banned. It just says "Any device". That would kill pretty much every semi-auto or repeating weapon. Now wouldn't it? IMO This is the start of the hard coup. Trump refuses to sign. The "deep state" JFK's him. Sets Mike Pence down and says "Your turn. Singe here". Two birds, one stone.---Ray

Well, lets see if pants loopholes and thumbs will be labeled 'devices' :)

    4. The way it is worded ALL repeating firearms could be considered a "rapid fire device"-- This is a UN gun confiscation law by the back door.--Ray

  4. The one major flaws with the premise is that what is reported about the incident (aka false flag operation) in Las Vegas is that what is being reported is factually accurate. Second there is a logical linkage between the number of firearms and shooting. There is the all important question as to who is going to determine how many firearms is "too many". Him being a lawyer is sufficient cause for me NOT to trust him. Old joke: How can you tell when a lawyer is lying to you? Answer; his lips are moving. It presumes that social/moral problems can be solved via passing more laws. It means you property is not secure, since the police can use the threat of violence to steal your property, when no crime has been committed. Oh, wait we already do have that. It is called asset forfeiture.

Bring back the two parent family, with the father being THE head of the house hold and many of our social problems will be solved.
